I’m Alicia-Marie Lavoie, a bard living in central Connecticut with two feisty cats, sharing photographic, conversational, and poetic musings about walking a soul path rooted in intuition and wildness.

My first tentative footfalls happened during childhood, when I began writing about nature and the human heart, as well as exploring piano, music theory, and beginner’s composition; however, as kids tend to do, I grew up, the filters of adulthood burying my connection with foresight, creativity, and Mother Earth. , fell inches from my feet. I read it within a matter of days, during which my inner phoenix rose from the ashes of old negative self-talk and toxic patterns. Yet my journey is far from perfect. Learning is a feral dance — one that has been, is, and will always be in motion, both in life and death.

When not behind the camera, I collaborate with amazing photographers who honor the relationship between humanity and the natural world. We are not outside of it; rather, we are a part of it. The above picture is © Peter Paradise Michaels.
