Iâm Alicia-Marie Lavoie, a bard living in central Connecticut with two feisty cats, sharing photographic, conversational, and poetic musings about walking a soul path rooted in intuition and wildness.
My first tentative footfalls happened during childhood, when I began writing about nature and the human heart, as well as exploring piano, music theory, and beginnerâs composition; however, as kids tend to do, I grew up, the filters of adulthood burying my connection with foresight, creativity, and Mother Earth. But little by little, guided by my maternal grandmotherâs example, I slowly sloughed the many layers of societal expectations and projections in my late-20s through mid-30s.
After some stagnation, the Universe further grounded this redirection when I was 43. While browsing at a local bookstore, Enough, by
, fell inches from my feet. I read it within a matter of days, during which my inner phoenix rose from the ashes of old negative self-talk and toxic patterns. Yet my journey is far from perfect.
